Fourteen days, no questions asked

If a book we sold you is not what you wanted, you get your money back. You do not have to explain why, you do not have to return or delete anything, and we will not try to talk you out of it.

The policy

Ask within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund it in full. This covers every product we sell: either edition of the book, either bundle, and the Paperwork Pack on its own.

How to ask

Write to hello@generousterms.com from the address you bought with, or reply to the receipt you were sent. Include the order number if you have it, though we can find you without it. One sentence is enough, and "refund please" is a complete sentence.

You can also ask Lemon Squeezy directly, using the link in your receipt. They run the store for us, so either route reaches the same place.

What happens next

We approve refund requests inside 14 days as a matter of course, usually the same day we read them. Lemon Squeezy then issues the refund to your original payment method. How long it takes to appear is up to your bank or card issuer, typically a few business days and sometimes up to ten.

You will get an email confirming the refund. It comes from Lemon Squeezy, because they took the payment.

Who you actually bought from

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for everything we sell. That means the sale is legally theirs: they take the payment, handle sales tax and VAT, and issue the refund. Your card statement shows their name, not ours. We decide the refund policy, and this is it.

After 14 days

Write to us anyway. The 14 days is a promise, not a wall, and if something has genuinely gone wrong we would rather hear about it than not. We will tell you plainly what we can do.

If the file will not download

That is not a refund, that is a problem we should fix. Write to hello@generousterms.com and we will send the file directly. Every book comes as both a PDF and an EPUB; if one will not open on your device, the other usually will.

Chargebacks

Please ask us first. A chargeback costs us a fee and takes months to resolve, and a refund takes one email and a day. We have never refused one inside the window, and we are not going to start.

Free downloads

The checklists and the sample chapter are free, so there is nothing to refund. To be removed from the list, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or see the privacy page for deleting your record entirely.
